THE KING GEORGE III (1738-1820)

King George III was born in 1738, he was a grandson of the King George II. He was born two months premature and thought unlikely to survive. George King II disliked his father for some unknown reasons, so he took just little interest in his grandsons. George and his younger brother were educated by private tutors at home, so that he was shy.The day George III approached to his grandfather in a palace on his 18th birthday, he was offered a grand establishment at St Jame's Palace, but he refused. The following year, the King died suddenly. He became the next King. In 1761 he married and later had 15 children with 9 sons and 6 daughters. He was the first King who was welcome by all politicians of all parties.

He went mad after losing America. America was England's colonies. The fight broke out because of the tea taxes. The colonies declared free and independent states in July 1
776. To punish America, the King wanted to keep the rebels anxious and poor.

In 1789, the French monarchy worried about many British landowners. They declared war in 1893 on Great Britain. With this war, the King allowed his son Pitt to increase many taxes, raise the army. George didn't consider peace with France, it was an experiment in his view, the war resumed in 1803.

In late 1810, he became dangerously ill. He also suffered from his favorite and youngest daughter's death. He died in 1820, lived 81 years and reigned 59 years.
